KLM is the national airline of the Netherlands, and is based at Amsterdam Airport Schipol. It operates flights to over 90 international destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

As a result of a merger in 2004, KLM and Air France are jointly owned by Air France-KLM, increasing the airline's capacity and reach considerably, and making it a world leader in air transport.

KLM also has a low-cost airline, Transavia.com, which flies between various cities in Europe at tickets starting from around 40 Euro.

KLM provides South Africans with flights from OR Thambo International Airport and Cape Town International Airport to Amsterdam and various other European destinations.
