Etihad Airways

Etihad is the national airline of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. It is a relatively young airline, having been launched in 2003, but it has become an established airline in a short time, operating more than 1000 flights per week to 70 destinations in 46 countries including South Africa.  

Etihad's head office is at Abu Dhabi International Airport, and it has national offices in many countries. Its South African office is in Sandton, Johannesburg. 

Etihad was the recipient of the award for the World's Leading Airline in 2009 and in 2010 at the World Travel Awards.

Etihad operates flights from OR Thambo International Airport in Johannesburg and from Cape Town International Airport to various destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the Americas.

It is a price leader when compared to other airlines operating on similar routes, and it provides passengers with excellent levels of comfort.
