1Time Airlines pioneered the South African
low-cost airline sector, providing the average South African
with an affordable means of local air travel. 1Time has won
numerous accolades for being market leaders when it comes to

their excellent service, as well as best airline for East
London.
The airline was founded by Glenn Orsmond a former Kulula.com
employee (Kulula.com is one of South Africa's other low cost
carriers), together with Rodney James, Gavin Harrison and
Sven Petersen. Its main base is OR Tambo International
Airport, Johannesburg, with hubs at Durban International
Airport, East London Airport and Cape Town International
Airport.
